The Office of Public Utilities is seeking an individual to oversee and manage the City's Information Systems Division and the City's technical assets. Responsible for the strategic and operational management of corporate information, technical requirements, and security, including the implementation and integration of systems and technology initiatives necessary to achieve corporate goals. Oversee and direct the work of technical staff within the division.
This position requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to successful completion of a Master’s degree in a computer-related field, business administration or business management with significant course work in management information systems, computer systems, and public administration; three years of administrative experience in a computer-based management information system; a minimum of eight years experience managing a medium to large technical department; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Current employees (where applicable) and persons hired after 1-1-17 shall maintain their bona fide residence within the corporate limits of the city during all periods of service. New employees have 12 months from date of hire to establish city residency.
