Under broad supervision, this position analyzes and assists in preparation of cost models for clients, pricing structure, billing, retail cost information, rate research, competitive assessments, load & market research, and financial assessments.
Assists in development of competitive retail rate designs and schedules for participant cities.
Assists in development of marginal and embedded cost models and retail rate design programs.
Assists in development of competitive pricing proposals to Members and retail customers for customer choice prospects in competition with other power suppliers in Georgia.
Assists in presentation of monthly load, billing and cost data reports to Members.
Assists in special projects in the areas of competitive pricing, economic analyses, general business analyses, pricing research, power cost adjustments and other competitive issues as required by member cities.
Assists with retail billing for members.
Assist in the preparation of Power Cost Adjustments (PCA) and Environmental Compliance Cost Recovery (ECCR)
Assists in the development of computer models and databases as needed.
Assists in other work related projects as assigned.
Provide support in other areas of the department as needed.

An ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, economics, computer science, business or a related field from an accredited college or university. 1-2 years of utility work experience is preferred but not required. A combination of education and related work experience can be utilized in lieu of a degree.
An ideal candidate should have strong problem solving skills and a basic understanding of finance and accounting theories. Knowing how to read and analyze financial statements is a plus.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on a computer and possess strong knowledge of Excel and Access. Skills with manipulating or analyzing “big data” are a plus.
Proficient written and oral communication skills are required. Must maintain a good working relationship with clients and their customers, fellow employees, consultants, vendors and others with whom interaction occurs.
