Job Technical Skills – Responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the department. Specific responsibilities include: managing and mentoring staff; strategic planning as part of the division management team; financial planning, forecasting and modeling; enterprise budgeting; financing evaluation; development, implementation and monitoring of financial metrics and targets; overall policy and procedure development; and financial metric and benchmark reporting. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
Provides strategic leadership to department management and oversees the effective supervision of staff to include prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, monitoring employee performance, ensuring staff members are trained and cross trained, resolving conflicts, and making hiring, termination and disciplinary recommendations.
Develops, implements and monitors financial targets to ensure financial integrity.
Manages the development, implementation and analysis of complex financial forecasts and models.
Develops, monitors and analyzes department operational and capital budgets, expenses, and budget variances to identify trends, control costs, etc. in order to recommend needed resources, account for current and future regulatory requirements and risk mitigation. Makes decisions based on the limits of approved budgets and policies.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in related field, and
Seven years of progressively responsible experience in area of assignment, including supervisory experience; or
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
