Job Technical Skills – Responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all electronic, electrical, and mechanical power plant control equipment at Simple Cycle Peaking Plants, District Energy Thermal plants and local Wind Turbines. troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all electronic, electrical, and mechanical power plant control equipment at a combined cycle power plant and landfill gas electrical generation facility. Works closely with the plant operations personnel to ensure that man/machine interfaces and control equipment are optimized for safe and efficient operation. Performs emergency and overtime work on short notice and at odd hours relating to plant operations or maintenance, as required. This position requires a rotating on-call schedule. When “on call”, response time is expected to be within 30 minutes or less, in fit for duty condition. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
Troubleshoots, repairs and calibrates power generation equipment including gas turbine and steam turbine controls, balance of plant, plant auxiliary control systems and landfill gas facility controls at designated site.
Maintains and troubleshoots malfunctions on instrumentation and controls related equipment.
Tests performance of electromechanical and electrical equipment using test instruments including oscilloscopes, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multi-functional processor based test equipment, and analyzes test data in order to diagnose malfunctions, to determine performance characteristics of systems, and to evaluate effects of system modifications.

Associates degree in related field, or
