The City of Monroe, Georgia is conducting a national search for an innovative and committed electric utility professional to serve as the next Director of Electric Services. Under administrative direction from the City Administrator, the Director provides general management of the City's electric department and has oversight of the Department. In 2022 the City of Monroe decided to establish a separate electric department to focus on the current and future growth requirements of the City’s electric priorities. Monroe Electric Services (MES) takes great pride in helping to make the City of Monroe a great place to live, work, and play. Today, MES continues to provide reliable and affordable electric service to the residents and businesses of Monroe, while developing the flexibility
