General Manager
The City of Pasadena is approximately ten miles northeast of downtown L.A. at the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, with a residential population of 144,000 and a daytime population of 250,000. Pasadena Water & Power Department (PWP) is a community-owned utility supplying water and electricity to Pasadena and nearby areas. The General Manager (GM) reports to the City Manager and is supported by 419 employees and a $333.5 million FY2024 budget.  The GM will focus on long-term resource management and environmental protection and embrace ambitious environmental goals reflecting Pasadena’s values. Experience in both utilities is not required; however, the department's size and importance warrant exceptional leadership and people management skills.
