- Electric Engineering Supervisor

The Electric Engineering Supervisor is responsible for the orderly and economic additions, upgrades and maintenance of the Georgetown electric distribution system to meet present and future demand while providing high quality, reliable electric service at a competitive cost. Reliability & System Planning provides support to Distribution Design, Operations, System Protection, Regulatory, and other Engineering and Operational initiatives in order to upgrade, expand, repair, maintain and reliably operate assets safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
Under the general supervision of the Electric Engineering Manager, the Electric Engineering Supervisor – System Planning directs all Electric Utility Distribution System Planning, System Reliability Improvement programs and Engineering Software Applications.
Supervisor will fully implement safety best practices and manage employee’s accountability. Supervisor must ensure full compliance with the Safety Program and Polices.
Direct Reports: Electric Engineer, Engineering Analyst – GIS, Distribution Relay Technicians

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, training and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and ten (10) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five (5) + years of experience in electrical utility system design, mapping, materials and operation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in power flow analysis including engineering analysis applications.
- Experience in the planning, modeling, design, project management, and construction of distribution projects.
- Four (4) years of applicable electric utility experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas.
- Distribution planning work experience.
Knowledge of:
- Electrical engineering practices and principals applicable to electric utility operations, such as generation, transmission, distribution and other related fields.
- Distribution and substation engineering design, specifications, construction materials and supply specifications and standards.
- Distribution and substation inspection and investigation practices and procedures.
- City policies and procedures.
- Regulatory requirements within the local and state ordinances and laws.
- Personnel procedures.
- Proper safety procedures.
- Maintenance and operation of distribution and substation systems.
- Budget preparation and monitoring practices and procedures; FERC accounting and economic analysis.
- ERCOT protocols.
- OSHA safety procedures
Skill in:
- Budget preparation and oversight.
- Resolving complaints and concerns.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to analyze, manage and generate various reports and summaries
- (Demonstrated ability) Leading, supervising, and coordinating activities of diversified technical staff.
- Following electrical safety procedures.
- Communicating effectively, orally and in writing.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Data analysis and problem solving.
- Using computer and related software programs.
- Performing basic mathematical calculations.
- Time management and multi-task functions.
- Reading blueprints, specifications, warning label, etc.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Valid Class "C" Texas driver’s license required. Out-of-state license holders must have a valid license and provide a three-year driving history.

Hiring Range: $123,208.28 - $154,337.93, annually.
